PRACTICE (Presence, Resilience, and Compassion Training, in Clinical Education)

 1) Introduction:

PRACTICE is a mindfulness based wellness program that was developed for residents in the Hawaii Residency Programs at the University of Hawaii. This page contains published program literature, mindfulness meditation resources, and video recordings of each of the session modules. While PRACTICE is typically taught in a group format the videos on this page are formatted for individual self-study.

 3) Guided Meditations:

1) This audio file is a guided meditation lasting approximately 14 minutes. It is divided into two sections - the first 7 minutes is a “focused attention” type meditation and the second 7 minutes transitions into “open monitoring” meditation. 2) “Headspace” is a meditation app that has a wide range of helpful guided meditations. It is sometimes offered at reduced rates to healthcare professionals. Click the button below for more information and download access:

3) Compassion Meditation: This meditation is designed to support the development of compassion. It is introduced in the final session of the video series below. It can be downloaded to your device by clicking the button on the right of the player.
